Scrotum is the anatomical term used to describe the thin, wrinkly sac of skin that surrounds the male testicles. It is actually the testicles themselves that are so fragile and sensitive, but it is important to note that a scrotum can be cut very easily while shaving, and is often prone to infections caused by ingrown hair. It is believed that the male scrotum has more blood vessels than an entire human head, and twice as many sweat glands as the armpit.
Also known as the ‘ball sac,’ the scrotum is an extremely versatile part of the male genitalia. If a man leaves his scrotum completely unshaven, it is know as the “Van graaff” after the Van de Graaff generator, which are those large silver balls that shoot strands of electricity against the glass and make your hair stand up when you touch it.
If someone trims their ball sac evenly to a short length, but leaves a few centimeters, it is known as ‘peach pitting,” because the wrinkling skin and stubbly hair resemble a peach pit after the fruit has been eaten.
Finally, the most popular form of scrotum décor today involves a man shaving his nut sac completely bald with a straight razor so it resembles a small child before puberty. This type of scrotum has many nicknames, including plums, Q balls, and the Buddha. This is the type of scrotum 9 out of 10 women prefer, and roughly 7 out of 10 of those women enjoy putting balls in their mouths during oral sex, so it’s definitely worth getting the trimmer out once in a while.
