FEATURED DEFINITION
Player

A player is considered to be the male version of a ‘slut’, except that ‘player’ sounds endearing, whereas ‘slut’ sounds degrading. A player is a guy who gets around, who fucks a lot and considers himself to be a sexual superstar. He may have a lot of sexual conquests and he may think of himself as a super pimp ladies man. Players are often super good looking and know it and are able to rest easy on their looks and charm. Traditionally, players were considered to have a bit of machismo, that stereotypical tough masculine quality, but nowadays, a player is just a dude who gets a fuck load of action. It could be a guy who’s not stereotypically masculine, but is just really super attractive and confident and has a lot of charisma. It could be a somewhat geeky guy in the English department, but those English departments are filled with equally geeky chicks that are also super hot and need to get laid. Hence, a player may be born.

I’ve probably only been with one dude who I would consider a player, and he was a total charmer. He charmed the pants off of me in about two seconds. In fact, we were cuddling in his bed and I turned and said to him are we going to have sex soon and he was all like, whoa, uh…yeah…uh…I didn’t want to assume anything which was TOTALLY a part of his player games because when I arrived at his house at eleven at night to ‘listen to music’, he had just gotten out of the shower, and my hair was still wet because I had clearly just had a shower too, and by midnight we were lying in bed and spooning and giggling and I clearly wanted to do him and he was clearly not prepared to have the night end without doing me, and there we were. But part of his charm was to be all coy and all, ‘oh, is THAT what’s going to happen? I had no idea’.

Players get a lot of tail. I suppose they have a right to, with all that charm. I think most of us wish we had a player or a slutty phase. It’s a shame that ‘slut’ has so many negative connotations. It’s a shame that, as a society, we’ve denigrated female sexuality to the point where we have two terms that mean the exact same thing, but the term for men is highly regarded and considered a hot and positive thing and the term for women is a total insult and often used by other women to insult and hurt. Ah, the double standards that keep sexism alive.

1. That guy is such a player. I know he’s fucked, like, all of my friends, but I really want him to do me too.

2. Most chicks may go for players, but I’m more into the geeky guy who never got the girl. He’s always willing to work super hard to please me, and because he’s not traditionally attractive, he does everything within his power to give me all kinds of pleasure. Also, geeky guys are always perverts, and always want to do the best kinky shit.
