Good for the audience of them, terrible for the critics, adult video has never seen a better boom then what has been happening lately to it online. It’s not just the sheer amount of sites offering downloads and purchasing shopping carts one gets to load in the privacy in their home, it is also how much unusual stuff we have access to, and how everyone can build a porn collection that will hardly take-up much room on a hard-drive or cost all that much.
The Internet and adult video are made for one another and while online downloading does put a strain on dirty movie makers making money, really where else could anyone have access to all these dirty videos? Over time porn companies will find a way to coexist with how porn is disseminated and find how to make their money better…adult video is not going off of the net anytime soon.
It doesn’t seem as if porn ever really becomes too much of a good thing. Human beings have an insatiable appetite for the visual documentary or representation of people fucking. Adult video has survived in one form or another since its inception to the VCR home market and though we don’t actually watch a video tape anymore and DVD sales are strong alongside downloads-at least high-end titles of high-production dirty movies-adult video rolls right into the future as technology bolsters its deliver into audience’s homes.
And that’s what people want. More than really caring what the fuck movie is about, or following a porn star’s career, which certainly many people do and others do care about, it’s the fact that we can sit home and watch an adult video in our own home, alone or with our partner and never be embarrassed over the titles we peruse or have a time limit of when they need to be returned, that makes adult video watching one of our favorite past times and one that won’t end anytime soon.
