If there’s one statement that can be made with no apprehension, it’s that we have enough award shows. Mtv has a couple…plus the almighty Oscar. Then come the Directors Guild, Screen Actors Guild, Webby’s, Razzie’s and more. Of course in the pornotopia there’s really only one…
But not any more. Rob Rotten has thrown his hat into the mix and declared that this year will see the birth of his Punx Productions Hall of Fame.
There are a lot of different personality types in the adult film industry which keep it consistently fresh and exciting. Not to mention that it’s one of the few components of the entertainment world that doesn’t get as caught up in competition as its more PC counterpart. Which is kind of nice from the perspective of a free internet porn tube-site. The free porn community has always been pretty tight. You won’t find that kind of camaraderie in Hollywood.
Rob Rotten has been pretty true to his word. He’s been involved for 10 years as director, producer and performer, and strives to remain on the constantly changing edge of adult oriented material. With this new venture he promises not to just create hype for the means of self preservation or increased DVD sales, but rather develop a real place that recognizes true talent. I don’t know what that means but I’m sure it’ll make more sense when he introduces his Hall of Fame criteria.
I’ve always liked Rob Rotten and have been a fan of his work – Porn of the Dead rocks, but I still think the best thing he ever did was Rachel Rotten.
