This isn’t really NEW news, but it’s interesting news. Jenna Jameson, Christy Canyon, and now Monica Mayhem jumps on the autobiography bandwagon and tells all with her Ebury Press imprint of Random House Australia’s “Absolute Mayhem: Confessions of an Aussie Porn Star.”
On any other day I would totally either ignore this news all together, or completely tear it apart. Because really, how many porn star tell all’s do we need? In this golden age of internets, one can find out most anything or rally up all the free porn they want…right?
Hang on to your surgical gloves kids, cuz this one might be the one to beat.
Monica actually started out in the financial world at a tender age of 16, making huge sums of money that basically lead to an uneventful life. Finally, at a turning point, the self proclaimed artist, Wiccan witch and uninhibited spirit decided to strip at a Spearmint Rhino in London and paved the way for her big debut in Los Angeles. Beyond that it apparently contains all the tried and true ingredients of a juicy porn star life. Sex, money, drugs, sticking her foot up someone’s vagina…
I’m in. I have a feeling this book will have me turning pages faster and more anxiously than all the heavy metal heroin exploits I have overstuffing my bookcase. And apparently it’s my second favorite kind of book…it has pictures! (First favorite would be a pop-up).
Get this…you can’t find it in bookstores here in the states. That’s not the plan until November 2010 when Skyhorse Publishing in New York releases an American Edition.
Consider me pre-sold.
