A Porn Career Too Short Lived.
Born in Chertsey, Surrey, England to parents of Portugese-Indian and Jamaican descent, Charmaine Sinclair began her career as glamor and softcore model for various men's magazines. She also moonlighted as a lingerie model with Christine Le Duc, setting the stage for her entry into the acting world in 1990. She was cast as the protagonist in softcore movies where she played as a detective Samantha Spade, and moved on to hardcore with Sarah Young productions, acting with her then fiance. Unfortunately for us men, she has since retired from the porn industry, relegating her talent and gorgeous figure to work as a fitness instructor.

For two years between 1993-1995, the British tabloids reported that Charmaine was romantically linked to Robert DeNiro. Around the same time, rumors abound too about her second career as an escort, charging as much as £3000 per night, surfaced. DeNiro's publicist denied any allegations of him paying for any services, while Sinclair insists that their involvement as "a normal meeting, a normal clean relationship."

After the DeNiro story broke wide open, Charmaine was the target of usual slander: the media called her a whore, temptress, and a shameless opportunist. In her defense, she reminded the public that before sex work she had worked as a model, and laments the public's refusal to acknowledge that both jobs are work just like any other job, acting out the public's fantasy, "If a fashion model walks down the catwalk with a see-through blouse on, that's acceptable; that's art, she's fashion," complains Sinclair, "but then somebody will look at a girl on Page 3 and think she's a tart. They've got to realize that that's what they do for a living, that's what they get paid for, just like a girl who goes to an office, types all day and then goes home - when she goes home she doesn't type all night too." But how can she blame us? With an hourglass figure and her exotic features, we can barely understand the words coming of her mouth, let alone any thoughtful intellectual engagement!
