Rocco Siffredi’s porn scenes are pretty much some of the most memorable anal sex scenes ever filmed since the invention of the video camera, so it comes as a bit of a surprise when the announcement of a new reality relationship television series staring Siffredi, and airing on Rupert Murdoch’s Italian channel Cielo, gets marketed as a family show.

With 1500+ adult scenes under his belt, Siffredi’s name is well known within the adult industry, he is a global porn icon. With titles such as The Ass Collector and Babysit My Ass 2, the man is more well known for stretching out assholes like rubber bands then he is for his relationship advice, but that’s something Lorenzo Torraca of Verve Media Co, who is producing the series, is ready to address. Speaking out on the show, Torraca said:

“It’s a Rocco you really don’t expect, and that’s the whole idea. It’s primetime family fare with a social element of sorts. Our impression is that there is great interest from a female demographic in this show. Seeing Rocco make the switch from being a porn star to becoming a primetime TV personality is very intriguing for them.”

Sky Italia spent two years fine tuning the format of the show before ordering 12 fifty-minute episodes. Televisions series’ in Italy have dabbled in erotic television series ever since Italy’s Colpo Grosso (“Big Score”) aired in the 1980s. The show was a contest where contestants could win points during guessing game rounds, which were then invested into removing various clothing items from a stripper.

Siffredi has no plans on leaving the adult industry anytime soon:

“My main job is still making porn movies, I’m not trying to reinvent myself yet. First, I’m simply not interested, and also I have contracts all over the world that I need to honor.”
