A couple visiting Mathera, India on Honeymoon were unpresently surprised when they returned from holidays to find out their nights in a hotel were video taped and uploaded to at least 12 different websites.

Upon returning to Nodia, India and finding the discovery, the couple contacted Noida Cyber Cell Deputy Superintendent of Police Triveni Singh who conducted an investigation and got the video clips removed from the websites. The investigation found hidden cameras in the hotel room. One of the accused is a banker in Jalandhar while other is a B Com student. They were produced in court and have been sent to police custody for six days.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar said, the accused use to work for a network, which used servers based in India and the United States. Officer Singh said:

“This is an international racket. Hotel owners, porn website operators and service providers all are involved in the racket”

Investigations have revealed that the gang involved also has network in Brazil, Singapore, Goa, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. They use to hire people for filming couples in tourist places.
