Girls Gone Wild Founder Joe Francis Loses to Las Vegas Casino Mogul
In the latest courtroom drama between Wynn and Francis, the jury recently ruled a victory for Wynn.
The jury awarded Wynn a sizeable $20 million ruling in damages from Francis for defamatory statements the Girls Gone Wilder founder made against Wynn to TMZ and Good Morning America.
Wynn has denied Francis’ claims and noted that it was “the ravings of a miserable vicious assassin, a liar who just didn’t want to pay his debt and decided to make up a story about a guy who he never set his eyes on or ever met. Me.”
Both men have volleyed lawsuits back and forth. The first of four lawsuits began in 2010 when Wynn accused Francis of neglecting to pay back $2.5 million worth of gambling debts at his Wynn’s Casino.
The current suit was regarding Francis’ claims that Wynn had threatened to kill him and bury him in the desert.
The celebrity-studded trial even included Quincy Jones making an appearance on the stand. Francis has claimed that the legendary record producer told him that Wynn was going to kill him. Quincy has denied that was ever said.
Francis could still be on the hook for punitive damages to the tune of $60 million dollars.
