Three shot dead over lap dance

Three people were left dead while one was injured when a man became irate after a dispute over a lap dance in the early morning hours of August 9th, 2012.

 

Ryan Clark Petersen, 22, hailing from Enterprise Alabama, has been charged with three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in the shooting.

 

Petersen, Houston Country Sheriff’s Captain Antonio Gonzalez notes that Peterson became incensed when he was kicked out of the topless bar, Teasers, just before midnight. Witnesses said the man came back with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and started shooting.

 

All three victims hailed from Alabama and were: Tiffani Paige Grisett, 31, a Teaser employee; Cameron Eubanks, 20, son of Teasers’ owner; and Thomas Robins, Jr. 59, a customer.

 

Local law enforcement sought Petersen throughout the night initiating air and ground searches until he was found around 7:00 A.M.

 

If Petersen is convicted of triple capital murder he could face the death penalty.

 

There have now been three mass shootings in the United States since July. On July 20th, 24-year-old James Holmes opened fire in a cinema in Colorado killing 12 and injuring 58. And in Wisconsin, white supremacist Wade Michael Page killed 6 people at a Sikh temple.

 

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence has compiled an estimate on annual shootings and has found the United States has an average of 20 mass shootings each year.
