How the electric tooth brush led to the vibrator of the future: the Revel Body

For the last half-year word has been getting around there is a new vibrator that will revolutionize the industry. The secret?

 

Sonic Vibration Motors.

 

Robin Elenga, the founder of Revel Body notes: “Our sonic vibration motors provide a significantly broader range of vibration and significantly more power; this translates into better control and satisfaction for users,” according to an executive summary.

 

“They also address user complaints by creating a fraction of the noise of existing motors (noise is very distracting for users), use substantially less power (allowing us to use smaller batteries and build more ergonomic devices), and are significantly more reliable, as well as having other benefits.”

 

Elenga came to the when he spoke to workers who made Sonicare toothbrushes. They joked that customers called them saying that they used the electric toothbrush as a vibrator.

 

And that’s when Revel Body was born. With a recent cash infusion of $825,000 from angel investors, Elenga looks to continue to the develop and market his product code named the Orb.

 

The three-person company based in Seattle note that they are creating a product: “Apple-like industrial design,” including “intuitive controls, ergonomic form factors, quality materials, and strong branding.”

 

The product look to be released some time later on this year.
