Twitters Vine App Has Banned Sexually Explicit Content
Back in 2012 Twitter bought social media video clip sharing application, Vine. Since it’s launch in January of 2013 the company has undergone tons of negativity about it’s allowance of pornographic material on the application.
Vine originally had a minimum age of 12 to have an account but soon after the launch it was raised to17, mostly because of the large amount of explicit content that was being shared. Twitter released an apology a few weeks after the launch after a sexually explicit video clip was shown on the homepage as one of the sites ‘Editors Picks’.
Twitter has succumb to the criticism and has now banned pornographic and sexually explicit material on the Vine app. Nudity will still be allowed in a few different aspects. Documentary and educational clips such as breastfeeding and artwork will still be allowed to show nudity.
Videos containing twerking or other sexually suggestive dances as long as they do not show close ups of aroused genitals. Sex toys used in sex acts and sexually explicit graphic animations are also no longer allowed.
“We don’t have a problem with explicit sexual content on the internet – we just prefer not to be the source of it.”
Users who violate the new rules will have their accounts suspended until they remove the explicit content. They’ve created a tool for people who have explicit content that they would like to download and save to their computers before deleting it. Users will be able to report other users clips that they find are against the new rules.
At Orgasm.com we don’t support banning porn, but who needs Vine when you can find tons of awesome free porn videos on our website!
