Study Says 250 Million People Will Watch Mobile Porn By 2017

Juniper Research, an online market analysis company recently released their newest study titled, Mobile Adult Content: Monetisation, Technologies & Legislation 2013 – 2018, and stated the growing trend in watching pornography from mobile devices will climb to 250 Million users worldwide by the year 2017.

mobile-porn1The trend of watching porn from a mobile device has spiked in recent years as more and more viewers of adult content are looking for personal ways to consume the product. Shared devices allow for multiple users to access web history or previously downloaded files, exposing the user’s history to unknown or unwanted members, but a phone or tablet device are personal devices hardly shared, giving viewers the freedom to browse without the fear of family, friends, or even co-workers to see what users have had access to. For this reason alone, Juniper believes viewership on tablet type devices will increase over the next few years.

Report author Siân Rowlands said:

“While Juniper expects the total number of users of both desktop and mobile adult content to remain broadly consistent, we expect to see continued migration to smartphones and tablets, as more enhanced, tailored content makes its way onto these personal devices”

According to the report, smartphones and tablets have become key distribution channels for adult service providers, noting that the most successful sites have created content tailored to the mobile audience.

One of the websites strongly catering to mobile porn has been Orgasm.com. As the Juniper report was being finalized and released, Orgasm.com was re-rendering 5000+ pornography videos for mobile platforms, just a fraction of the videos found on it’s online site, but still a huge amount of videos for those who love to browse porn from their mobile devices.
