Orgasm News Interviews Mia Gold
Porn Star Mia Gold has been in the industry for only 10 months, but she is making a strong impression. With over 80 scenes to her credit, she is known for her high energy and dirty talk. Dave Kingsley had a chance to speak to Mia about her porn career, fantasies and her hobbies.
Dave Kingsley: How did you initially get involved in the adult film industry?
Mia Gold: I was living in New York, when I decided to make the move. I was hesitant at first, and did a lot of research. My ex kept encouraging me. We made some hot home videos!
DK: What career were you pursuing before getting into porn? How was that experience?
Mia: I worked in a few different fields before I pursued porn. I studied in college for a good amount of time and worked as an office admin, caregiver, go-go dancer, in a snowboard shop, etc. I am a naturally creative person, and into the antics of business and I love to network; the porn business suits me well.
DK: How did you come up with your porn star name?
Mia: I didn’t want a corny porny name. The first name I chose was Nikki Foxxx, but it turned out that “Nikki” and “Foxxx” were pretty common. So, I went the original route and I chose “Gold” from my Hebrew name “Goldie”
DK: Can you tell us about some of the projects you’re working on at the moment?
Mia: I am putting together my website and a clips for sale store. Stay posted for more details.
DK: You haven’t been in the industry too long. How are you finding it? What are some pros and cons?
Mia: 10 months now…wow time flies! I am very happy. I try to keep a balanced schedule and lifestyle. The upside is that you have to be self-motivated and have the ability facilitate your own success. The downside is that work is fun…oh wait, that’s a plus!
DK: Are there any porn stars or any one in the industry that you admire? Why?
Mia: I admire men and women that keep it real. You meet a lot of characters, but just because you have character doesn’t mean you have character. For the most part, the people in this industry are kind and hard working.
DK: Have there been any porn stars that you particularly enjoyed working with? Who and why?
Mia: It’s hard to pick because there are so many talented performers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Off the top of my head, Bill Bailey for his intensity, Carlo Carrera for high energy, Veronica Avluv for being a squirting machine, and Phoenix Marie for her raw sexual desire.
DK: What’s the craziest sexual misadventure that you’ve ever been a part of?
Mia: One time in Brazil…I’ll spare you the details, but it involved twins, a sexy man stud, a goat, and a few glasses of wine. Just kidding!
DK: What would your sexual ultimate fantasy be? Can you tell us about it?
Mia: Surprisingly, ultimate sexual fantasy isn’t very raunchy. I can see myself making sweet sweaty passionate love on a boat in the French Riviera. Load on the romance please!
DK: What is your favorite sex position and why?
Mia: I love being thrusted up against a wall…I really enjoy watching my partner’s sex faces and watching the insert.
DK: Can you describe what a perfect date for you would be like?
Mia: Breakfast in bed the morning after? [Laughs] I’m simple, so something memorable like going surfing or cooking dinner. The most important part is enjoying the company you are with and enjoying yourself.
DK: Do you have a secret sexual fetish? If so, what is it?
Mia: I do! I don’t do it on camera and I’m saving it for marriage. There’s nothing sexier than having the man I love cream in my vag simultaneously, while I cum. Sharing an orgasm is pretty intimate.
DK: What has been the importance of branding and marketing yourself in the adult entertainment industry?
Mia: Developing my public personality and positive reputation is on the top of my priority list. Building and maintaining trusting relationships is big. Making sure every project or scene is successful. I always want to be in the position where I am contributing and an asset. Everything should be golden.
DK: What are some of your goals for 2013?
Mia: Since I will be moving into my second year, I’m focusing my energy towards my scenes and diversifying myself in and outside the industry.
DK: What is the importance of Social Media including Twitter to your career?
Mia: When I was independent, my influx sometimes depended on my networking skills. You can’t just let your work ride on your reputation. It’s a great way to interact with fans and industry. Porn would be dead without fans.
DK: Have your family and friends been supportive of your move into porn? If so, how did you break it to them?
Mia: Yes and no. However, porn has given the opportunity to have closer relationships with my loved ones, which I am grateful for. My schedule and income grants me to give back and spend more time with them.
DK: What are you thoughts on the Internet? Do you think it’s helping or destroying the porn industry?
Mia: The Internet had no doubt made a big impact on the industry. I would say that it’s redefining porn. You can’t fight against progression; you have to go with it.
DK: What is something people don’t know about you?
Mia: I paint in my spare time, I can set up any snowboard, and I really enjoy styling hair (I went to cosmetology school).
