Porn Teacher “Tiffany Six” Not Allowed To Return To Work
Stacie Halas, a 32 year old teacher from Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard, California was fired in April of 2012 when students of her class became aware of her past in the adult industry as starlet Tiffany Six”, and proceeded to download videos of her footage to their mobile phones. Now, after months of appealing, the decision stands that Halas is not fit to stand as a teacher.
Halas claims that her stint in the adult industry was short lived, only 9 months in a period from 2005-06. She also claims she only entered the business after an ex-boyfriend left her in financial trouble, which was before she started her career as a teacher.
In a 46-page decision by the Commission on Professional Competence, Judge Julie Cabos-Owen wrote:
“Halas had been continually deceitful about her nine-month career in porn before she went to work at the school. Although her pornography career has concluded, the ongoing availability of her pornographic materials on the Internet will continue to impede her from being an effective teacher and respected colleague.”
Richard Schwab, Halas’ lawyer, said Halas had tried to be honest about her previous experience in the adult industry but was too embarrassed. He said:
“Miss Halas is more than just an individual fighting for her job as a teacher. I think she’s representative of a lot of people who may have a past that may not involve anything illegal or anything that hurts anybody.”
