Porn Not Approached With Copyright Alert System Expansion
In recent years as Internet piracy expands and illegal downloads become rampant, certain leaders in media production have combined with the wish to create a Copyright Alert System (CAS), in which a 3rd party company works with Internet Service Providers to monitor possible illegal downloads and issue warnings which would lead to a throttled Internet connection for the user after repeated infractions. The coalition of companies includes all the big US corperations that would would expect with such a proposal, like Disney, Warner and Universal.
Communications director of the Free Speech Coalition, Joanne Cachapero, who represents adult video producers and sellers of adult content says the adult industry was not approached about participating in CAS and thinks it was a mistake. She says:
“[It was] a significant oversight when you take into consideration that the adult industry has contributed so much to development of online commerce. Many adult producers would like to be at the forefront of developing innovations that allow new technologies and fair consumer policies to increase revenues for all online content producers.”
Orgasm.com would love for such a proposal to be introduced. As a leader in providing Free Adult Content to the Internet, we have always believed in paying for our content. We have never shared any video illegally, and would love to see more Free Porn Sites try to say the same.
