Indian Man Spends £14,000 On 14k Gold Shirt To Impress Women

The man with the golden shirt - 2In a story that sounds too ridiculous to believe, a 32 year old Indian man has spent £14,000 ($22,000+ USD) in order to create a 14 karat gold shirt that he says he commissioned in order to impress the ladies.

Money-lender Datta Phuge, from Pimpri-Chinchwad paid for a team of 15 goldsmiths working 16 hour days to create and weave the threads over a 2 week period.

In an interview he said:

“I know I am not the best looking man in the world but surely no woman could fail to be dazzled by this shirt? The gold shirt has been one of my dreams. It will be an embellishment to my reputation as the ‘Gold man of Pimpri’”

The gaudy shirt was assembled on a fabric base of imported white velvet, and comes with six Swarovski crystal buttons, a belt also made of gold, matching cuffs and gold rings.
