The Mean Girls and Les Miserables star Amanda Seyfried has admitted to watching porn in order to prepare her for her upcoming role as Linda Lovelace. Her film of choice? The 1972 classic, Deep Throat!

Seyfried said about the film, “It’s just so fabricated and just weird and unnatural. They’re so funny. It’s the funniest movie.”

She also talked a bit about the project “We really wanted to tell her side of the story because it’s pretty dark. She was treated terribly because she was a porn star and she was associated with that one movie her whole life.

“It’s really nice to be able to validate her in some way. She never got the validation she deserved before she died. I’m glad I did this movie.”

Linda Lovelace was a pornographic actress who was famous for her performance in Deep Throat. She later denounced her pornography career and became a spokeswoman for the anti-pornography movement.
