Porn Star CoCo Brown is set to be the first porn star and the second African American woman to head out past the earth’s atmosphere.

CoCo noted about her space trip: “I’ve always had a love of space. I had a fascination with space movies and books as a kid and that fascination continued as I grew into an adult. I’m an adventurous person and I thrive off of excitement. It’s one of the reasons I’ve tried so many things in my life.”

She continued: “I’ve never been one to settle down. I’m always looking for the next big challenge, and when this opportunity presented itself, I jumped at the chance. I’m ready to do something that many would never attempt, and I’m going to tackle it successfully and have another fantastic story to tell.”

CoCo will be teaming up with Holland-based Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) who specializes in providing people an opportunity to reaching space. Her unique call sign, which is given to astronauts, is Shooting Star designated by her trainers from SXC.

The first phase of training has been recently completed in the United States. CoCo’s trainers were very happy with her “enthusiasm, energy and courage.”

CoCo is scheduled to take off in mid 2014.
