Nacho Vidal, one of the most popular and influential men in porn, was among 80 people arrested on October 16, 2012 in Spain over a matter related to website affiliated money laundering.

Madrid police carried a 2-year investigation dubbed ‘Operation Emperor’ and found that the Chinese Mafia had a guiding hand in the money laundering operation among other crimes. National Court Judge Fernando Andreu who directed the Operation said: “this is probably the largest operation conducted by the National Court for money laundering and tax offenses for a very long time.”

In 120 separate raids, 202 cars as well as large amounts of money were confiscated. Along with Vidal, a Spanish Councilor was arrested in the raids.

In a statement prepared for the press, the Spanish interior ministry said: “The national police is carrying out a major operation against money-laundering and other crimes linked to criminal networks of Chinese origin in various provinces of Spain.”

Vidal has been in the porn industry for well over a decade and rose to worldwide predominance with his stylish and hardcore performances. No statement has been released from the Vidal camp.
