It is no surprise that Fifty Shades mania is also affecting celebrities. One Direction singer, Harry Styles, has not only enjoyed reading the book, he also apparently picked up some pointers.

Styles told The Sun Newspaper about his experience reading Fifty Shades of Grey: “I haven’t bought it, but a female friend of mine was forcing me to read it out to her the other day.” He continues, “They were like, ‘Just borrow this,’ and I was like, ‘Hmmm’. It seems interesting. I could probably learn from it, I don’t know. I feel like it’s an educational and interesting read.”

Unlike the lead character, Christian Grey, in 50 Shades of Grey, Styles said, “I don’t want to be viewed as a womanizer…I’m not quite as I’m made out to be. I have friends who are girls and sometimes even if I give them a lift home I’m ‘dating them’…It’s fine, I have a lot of fun.”

Styles and his band One Direction got their first taste of stardom when they finished third on the 2010 edition of The X-Factor and now Styles has become known as a bit of a party animal around town. He said: “As for becoming a hellraiser? I don’t like going crazy, crazy. I like having fun but it’s nice to just wake up in your own bed isn’t it? I can see how you get dragged into the bad stuff, but I’ve got good friends around me.”

He’s already dated 32 year old TV personality Caroline Flack who is 14 years his senior. Styles also has become friends with high profile celebrities such as super model Kate Moss.
