Not all porn stars skip college and go straight into the adult industry. If you don’t believe it, ask Rachel, aka Tasha Reign, who is studying and is also a popular porn star at the same time.

It was just recently discovered that Reign – a Penthouse Pet and star of over 50 adult films -is majoring in women’s studies at ULCA. Reign’s popularity went through the roof in the summer when a picture of her, Bill Clinton and a few other porn stars at a gala were tweeted by an acquaintance.

“I didn’t even think for one second it would be controversial…then all of a sudden, there’s, like, all of these retweets…and it’s trending.” said Reign.

“Everyone’s like, ‘This should be cool for you, it’s PR, everyone knows your name.’ I would never want that negative type of press,” she says. “I’m so proud of the movies that I make, and the scenes that I do and the pictures that I take; I don’t want any guilt by association and be put in some negative light.”

Although Reign’s family is supportive and despite the fact that she owns her own production company at only 23, there is stigma still attached to being in the adult industry.

“The hardest thing about working in the adult industry isn’t the industry itself, it’s the stigma you have to deal with when you are outside of the industry.” Reign notes

Reign has already started talking to students about her experiences in the adult industry in order to educate them and misspell myth about it. She is planning to do some lecturing soon at UCLA and other colleges.
