Chinese Censors Watch 700+ Pornography Videos A Week
In a tiny office, in the People’s Republic of China’s province of Hunan, a group of four elderly, married men look over pornography video after pornography video in what might be one of the only legal places to view such content in the entire country.
Pornography and all sex related commerce is illegal in China, but that doesn’t stop street peddlers from setting up shop and selling the graphic videos right beside bootlegs of Hollywood’s newest films. Each year, government crack downs on workers in the sex trade and the hawkers on the street, sweep up masses of people and thousands upon thousands of DVDs. The task set upon the men in the tiny off is to observe and review each and every video in their entirety, to find out what is on those DVDs.
Videos can be judged as strictly obscene, however some that contain a story line can be judged as only pornographic, which can been seen as having some artistic traits, but just because there is a story, doesn’t mean it’s art says 70-year-old Liu Xiaozhen, one of the office workers recently interviewed in a local Hunan News story.
New hires to the office are found from a province wide search, and elderly men such as Liu are preferred, although not required. The only requirement is that you are married, and are trained properly before starting duty, although one would have to wonder what type of training goes on.
Certainly we thought we watched a lot of porn here in the Orgasm offices, but maybe if more people knew about the free porn videos on Orgasm.com there would be less DVDs on the street, and less porn for these old men to watch.
