Sarah Jessica Parker Gets Cut From Linda Lovelace Film
As filming began on the Linda Lovelace bio pic in 2012, Demi Moore was asked to play feminist Gloria Steinem, but at the last minute she was replaced with Sarah Jessica Parker. Now it seems like the role has been completely cut from the film.
The film stars Amanda Seyfried as Lovelace and depicts her in her adult industry career. Originally the film was to follow Lovelace’s life up until 1984, where she then met Steinem and decided to become an anti-porn advocate under her real name Linda Boreman. However the producers have decided to take the film in another direction which would end the film in 1980, before Lovelace and Steinem ever crossed paths.
The film’s directors say they made the call to Parker, one that they would “never want to do”, but stated she took the news “as a pro”.
