Ukrainian Porn Star Wiska Seeks Asylum In EU Because Of Job
Anastasia Gryshai, aka Wiska, a Ukrainian porn star is seeking asylum in the EU after fleeing the Ukraine for the Czech Republic in 2010. Wiska states she was forced to flee when welfare officers threatened to take her kids away for being an “unworthy mother” after an investigation was launched against her for producing and distributing pornography.
In 2009, then President Victor Yushchenko signed a law banning pornography and people found guilty of possessing, selling or disseminating it could face up to three years in prison. Critics of the law state that the definition of pornography is too loosely defined and has opened the door to misuse by authorities. Wiska states that she has never filmed a scene in the Ukraine, but the 2010 investigation found pornography stored on her husbands computer and the authorities do not see a difference between production and storage.
Wiska turned to the adult industry in 2003 after her husband was put in jail for setting a lawyers car on fire. She states: “I was left alone with a child, worked as a model in various magazines. When I was asked to star in a porno movie I accepted because I needed the money. I have been trying to explain that I did not do it out of a love for the business but because I had to feed my son,”.
