LA Firehouse Causes Media Stir After Burlesque Video Shoot
A Los Angeles firehouse who was swept up in a fury of controversy last year after allowing one of their fire trucks to be used as the back drop for a porno shoot is again making headlines after allowing a promotional YouTube video titled “Firehouse Burlesque Hula Hooping” to be filmed recently inside the location.
The video features a young attractive girl in tight jean shorts and red high heels dancing provocatively with a hula hoop, as well as posing alongside the firehouse pole and getting dressed in the typical firefighters garment. Also shown in the video is what appears to be one of the firemen posing and pretending to be a hooper himself.
Venice Fire Station 63 fell under fire in 2011 after their trucks were used in the background of a pornography shoot which was shot on the streets of Venice, featuring a woman exposing herself in public. In the video the woman boarded the vehicle, but no firefighter can be seen, which led into an investigation of the firefighters knowledge or approval of the incident.
The newest video in question was created by a local LA business called Hoopnotica, which promotes the idea of a healthy and active lifestyle though hula hooping and has created many of these type of videos in the past to promote themselves. Company spokesperson Lauren Brand says “It’s not uncommon for us to just stop in and say hello” referring to being involved with community leaders such as firefighters. She goes on to say, “Had we known (this locations history), we may have chosen a different fire station, but we feel bad they’re coming under fire.”
