Orgasm News: First off, congratulations on your XBIZ award nomination for Best Female Performer of the Year.

Misty Stone: Why thank you very, very much. I appreciate it. I’m looking forward to hopefully winning that this year…I love getting nominated for the big ones!

 

Orgasm News: How did you get into the adult film industry?

Misty: I used to dance, and then it kind of fell into my lap.

 

Orgasm News: What do you like about being an adult film star?

Misty: I like the sex!  Honestly, that’s my favorite thing about being in this industry, the attention, the fans, the lights, the camera, the action. I’m a total attention whore…I want everybody to know that I said that first. So whatever the other girl is telling you that she’s an attention whore in your interviews…she copied off of the one and only Misty Stone! As a matter of fact, should I just get that shit trademarked or something…I want a t-shirt that saying ‘Attention Whore!’

 

Orgasm News: You are often referred to as the ‘Halle Barry’ of porn. Do you like that reference?

Misty: Absolutely. That’s like the trick of the trade, the cherry on top. I mean it’s an honor for people to call me the Halle Barry of porn. That’s awesome. Who else would I want to be compared to, you know? Honestly, she’s one of my biggest idols. I love her. The way that she acts, she can play any role. She’s fucking amazing. It really helps in this industry, because I’m more so of a parody queen. I do a lot of acting as opposed to the just hardcore straight-to-the-sex type of videos.

 

Orgasm News: An interesting kind of connection is Halle won the Oscar a couple years ago and you can win the XBIZ award!

Misty: Right? That would be nice. I would rather win the AVN. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love XBIZ to death… But I would love to have that AVN award. I have yet to have one. I’ve been awarded for AVN so many times for Female Performer of the Year, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress…But I’ve never actually gotten an award from them. So I’m looking forward to that this year too.

 

Orgasm News: What is something that people don’t know about you, even your fans?

Misty: I masturbate standing up.

 

Orgasm News: When did you start doing that?

Misty: Actually, that’s just the way I masturbate…I actually did a sex educational video with Wicked Pictures… I don’t know exactly what it’s called. But basically you can…find out what really turns us on. All the girls have a different way of making themselves get off, and mine was standing up.

Misty: Of course! Well, I was just a model. But I went up there and did the molding. It’s a bit of a process. It doesn’t take too long. I mean, you’re just pretty much in and out of there in a day, doing the promotional stuff. They take really close in-depth pictures, just in case the mold doesn’t come out exactly the way you like it. So they will take really close high-definition pictures of everything, and just make sure that it’s, just pretty much the exact replica of your body part…It wasn’t really a long drawn out process at all. They’re very professional.

They have their shit together. As soon as I got off the plane it was down. It was over. I was taking pictures, doing interviews, doing everything. They’re really professional. I love FleshLight. They’re really amazing. I will be a Flesh Light girl. Forever!

 

Orgasm News: For you, how did you initially get picked for such an honor?

Misty: My business partner, Mr. John Cody, he is very, very helpful. I was signing at AVN at Elegant Angel one year. I think it was about two, three years ago…and I didn’t have the opportunity to really go on the floor at AVN and pass out my cards and do my little marketing thing. Because I’m kind of stuck up like, “Oh, signing.”

John goes over to Flesh Light, as well as a few other people’s booths and just threw my name out there. Let them know who I am. He saw that Flesh Light had all of these big stars at the time. They only had Jenna Hazes and Tera Patrick. They had girls like that at the time.

He was like, “Wow. Okay, so they have the big-named girl. Well, Misty is a pretty big-name black girl. Maybe they would want to use the idea of having a mocha colored Flesh Light girl as a spokesmodel.” He went over there and he talked to them. They loved the idea. He blew me up, told them how many awards I was up for: I was the queen of parodies, the Halle Berry porn, and everybody really loved it. They were intrigued by it. So, they came to my booth. They even stood in line and waited for me. They’re so freaking awesome. They came to my booth and they talked to me and I guess my personality sealed the deal, baby! Honestly, I don’t know. It just was love at first sight. I got a contract the next week and it was signed.

 

Orgasm News: For you, is it something that has helped your career?

Misty: Oh, my goodness, yes. It’s helped me tremendously, as far as getting me out there. A lot more people know about me. I’m becoming [known] international, worldwide. I’m going and traveling, doing other things with other Flesh Light girls that are more international and not really in America. Because they have a whole bunch of girls from Europe and the UK and all that kind of stuff, so it’s amazing. It’s really good marketing.

Yes, absolutely. It’s helped my career a lot, and I look forward to it helping it some more, so keep it going baby. I’m like the marketing queen, dude. I fucking know how to market and get out there and just promote myself, so Flesh Light just helps me a lot.

 

Orgasm News: But that’s the amazing thing that you are totally motivated. You like what you’re doing. I mean already right there that’s 80%, 90% of your marketing and then you just go out there and you do what you need to do.

Misty: Absolutely. I have to. I think that’s why the fans like me, though. I get really great compliments on how wonderful my personality is, or how I look good in person opposed to on camera. So my fans are really awesome. Like I said, I’m an attention whore. So, them [giving me] all those compliments, andjust hanging out with everybody and getting all that attention and people knowing who I am, I’m sure Flesh Light had a lot to do with that.

 

Orgasm News: Now, going a little bit more personal. Do you have any hobbies? If you do, what are they, and can you talk a little bit about them?

Misty: Sure, I like to play basketball. I like to ride my bike on occasion on the beach, and I do a lot of activities with my dog…I take her to the dog park or we’ll go to a birthday party. There are dogs down the street who have birthday parties, and I’ll take her down there. I’m like the cutest little mom ever. I don’t have any children, so that’s my baby.

 

Orgasm News: What breed of dog do you have?

Misty: I have a pit bull mixed with terrier, so she’s a baby pit. She’ll never get any bigger than what she is. She looks like a little baby pit, but she’s mixed with terrier, so that’s why she’s so tiny like that.
