Orgasm News: Why did you initially enter the porn industry?

Camille Crimson: I have a background in coding and my boyfriend is a videographer and photographer.  We’ve always loved doing what we do, but we were doing it in the mainstream and not really for ourselves.  Our sex life was also totally amazing and we slowly started to play with using our technical skills to document our sex life.  Eventually, it became clear that we’re passionate about it and good at it too, so why not try to make a living doing what we love most?  We made the leap and I’m glad we did!

 

Orgasm News: You have positioned yourself in quite a unique way in porn by becoming a blowjob expert. Why do you find it so fascinating and why do you enjoy doing it so much?

Camille: It’s always something I’ve loved in my personal life because I love focusing on giving pleasure as well as receiving it, obviously.  As we watched porn and became more serious about making it as a career, we realized that there was very little nice blowjob-oriented porn out there that was shot beautifully and looked like the way I love giving oral sex.  Sensual blowjobs were very under-represented and it felt like a calling to show that it can be beautiful.

 

Orgasm News: You run and maintain your own site: The Art of Blowjob. What has the reaction been to the content? How long did it take you to design and create the site?

Camille: It didn’t take too long to make the site, really.  The content took a while to shoot and edit initially because we were still figuring out the best way to do it, but now it’s a really smooth thing.  The reaction has been amazing.  We have received so much great attention and we even have a DVD with Hustler.  It just goes to show that making something really different can get results if it’s done with love.

 

Orgasm News: How did you come up with your porn star name?

Camille: Camille is a very common French name and Crimson felt appropriate as a last name, especially given my red hair!

 

Orgasm News: Who are the porn stars that you admire? Why?

Camille: I really admire anyone who is focusing on showing their own authentic pleasure and having sex the way they want to, on their own terms.  I certainly have my closer friends in porn, people like Lilyanne Bloom and Max Sauvage of Pornographic Love, Violet+Rye of Uncommon Appetites, Brookelynne Briar, etc…  But really, anyone who is doing it because they love it and they’re passionate about it has my admiration.

 

Orgasm News: You’re a big video game fan. What are some of your all time favourite video games?

Camille: I love series like Diablo, StarCraft, Left for Dead, Assassins Creed…

Camille: Probably 28 Days Later, Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland.  I love these kind of thoughtful and funny or out-there ideas of zombies.    Orgasm News: Being an expert in oral sex, what tips do you have for women out there in giving the best oral sex?

Camille: I say this a lot, but instead of tricks, it’s about communication, creativity and passion.  You need to know what your partner likes and that means talking about it and paying attention to their reactions, both good and bad.  You need to think outside the box, figuring out lots of sensations and areas to apply them.  And, of course, you need to be excited by the prospect of giving pleasure so you’re not just phoning it in.

 

Orgasm News: What are you thoughts on the Internet? Do you think it’s helping or destroying the porn industry?

Camille: I think it’s making porn a lot more accessible, which is good, and it’s making a lot of people realize that it’s not such a big deal to enjoy porn or even participate in making porn.  That said, people need to remember that getting everything for free means that smaller companies (and even big ones) can’t support themselves nearly as well.  If you find something you really like, pay for it to make sure that there’s more like it!

 

Orgasm News: What is the wildest sex story that you can share with our audience?

Camille: Honestly, my sex isn’t that wild, outside of the fact that it’s on the internet…  We have been experimenting with outdoor sex (though not now that it’s almost winter here in Montreal) and we’ve had a few close calls, but nothing has ever actually happened to stop the fun!

Camille: I’m a very open book, so I don’t think there’s really anything I’m keeping from the world.  I guess maybe that I’m sometimes a bit shy, so I’m not the type to give speeches or go to conferences to meet people and feel like the centre of attention, but anyone who asks knows that about me too.
