88% Of Homemade Porn Makes It To The Internet
Next time you decide to pick up the camera and film your sexual escapades remember this: it will likely make it on the internet.
In a study conducted by Britain’s Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) 88% of homemade porn, which includes videos and pictures, make its way on the net to sites called ‘parasites’.
These parasite sites are fed with photos that are culled by various nefarious means: stolen or lost cellphones, and hacked accounts such as Facebook, Flickr, Photobucket and Tumblr.
Susie Hargreaves who is the CEO of the Internet Watch Foundation, told the Guardian newspaper in London. “We need young people to realize that once an image or a video has gone online, they may never be able to remove it entirely [and] once an image has been copied on to a parasite website, it will no longer suffice to simply remove the image from the online account.”
As noted by NBCNews many of these are younger adults. However, this has been a recent trend in conjunction with the rise of cell phones where it has become easier, especially for teenagers, to take photos and videos and post it directly onto the net.
