A new bar has opened up in Tokyo called Love Joule and besides serving beer, they serve a healthy amount of self-love talk. This unique bar displays tools of self-pleasure like vibrators, for instance, and gives Japanese women a chance to talk openly about masturbation.

Despite Japan being one of biggest consumers of porn in the world, it is still a very conservative society, especially when it comes to women’s sexuality.

Owner Megumi Nakagawa talks about the unique bar to the Toyko Reporter: “Once they take a seat, customers are able to experience a pleasant place in which they can openly discuss masturbation…since most people view female masturbation as something of a mystery or taboo, it is not a usual topic at typical bars.”

It has also been noted that various Japanese porn stars regularly visit the bar. The bar’s visibility is increasing amongst women who feel censored talking about such a natural act as masturbation.
