Several Porn Stars Say No to LA Condom Measure

Some porn stars are not taking the controversial Measure B–currently slated for the November ballot in Los Angeles County–lying down.

Measure B, which is being heavily promoted by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, would make condom use mandatory throughout the Los Angeles porn industry.

Porn stars against the Measure include Skin Diamond, Teagan Presley and Kayden Kross. They will be signing “Vote No Measure B” t-shirts as part of their campaign with The Real Porn Wiki Leaks against the condom measure.

Many in the industry believe this measure would hurt business because customers won’t buy condom porn as well as violate the freedom of the porn stars and their right to choose whether or not to use protection.

Sean Tompkins, the founder of Adult Wiki Media, noted that: “If all those girls use social media — with Twitter there’s a million people that they reach out to every day. [AHF chief Michael] Weinstein has money, but these girls actually talk to the people.”

The t-shirts are set to sell at $20 with the proceeds funding the campaign against Measure B. Signed shirts by porn stars would be $30.
