Innocence of Muslims Director Formerly Made Porn

It has been reported that the director who helmed the controversial anti-Islamic film “Innocence of Muslims” had also directed soft core porn back in the 1970s ad 80s.

Alan Roberts, whose real name is Alan Brownell, has directed such films as “Young Lady Chatterly” and “The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood” and apparently had no idea that “Innocence of Muslims” would set off such a firestorm throughout the Muslim-world. That’s because Roberts was led to believe that the film was historical and not religious in nature after being misled by producer Nakoula Basseley Nakoula.

Many of the actors and extras were told that the film was called “Desert Warrior” during filming. It was in post-production that the film was dubbed, edited and re-titled “Innocence of Muslims”. In fact, at least one of the actors, Tim Dax, also has connections to porn having starred in various gay porn titles. Dax noted that during shooting he was given only his lines and kept in the dark about the film’s full story-line.

More information is coming to light in regards to Roberts and the film. It appears that “Innocence of Muslims” was filmed on a Hollywood studio set and has some ties to a Christian charity.

The former soft-core porn director also has 28 editing credits to his name. One of them includes “Grand Theft Parsons” made in 2003 and featuring Johnny Knoxville and Christina Applegate.
