A Bosnian politician is using the power of porn to gain some last-minute votes.

Mirad Hadziahmetovic is running as a independent candidate in the city of Zenica’s mayoral elections.

Although Hadziahmetovic is predicted to have no chance at winning, he is making a last-ditch effort to drum up support for his campaign by giving would-be voters a chance to watch explicit adult videos in exchange for answering questions on his site.

One question reads “What is more important for Zenica, job creation or filing the municipal budget?” After the questions come the porn clips, each of which contains a short video of the Mayoral hopeful saying: “If you like this clip, vote for me.”

The marriage of porn and politics is not a new concept. In 2003, porn star Mary Carey ran for governor in California. She didn’t fare too badly and finished in a respectable 10^th place.

Stormy Daniels is another porn star who considered making a leap into politics by running for a Senate Seat in Louisiana in 2010. However, her foray into politics never fully materialized.

It’s also interesting to note that while Hadziahmetovic is showing porn to get votes, United States Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is taking the opposite approach with a tough stance on adult content. Vivid founder Steven Hirsch would probably love to work with a porn-friendly politician like Hadziahmetovic.
