Transformers star Shia Labeouf has accepted an edgy role in the film ‘The Nymphomanic’, slated for release next year.

The film follows a 50 year old woman’s sexual life (played by Charlotte Gainsbourg) while she recounts her story to her husband (played by Stellan Skargaard.)

It is unclear to what role Labeouf will be playing. The 26-year old has been vague about his role, however he has told MTV News: “[The movie] is what you think it is. It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he’s making. For instance, there’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we’re doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we’ll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening.”

Lebeouf added: “He’s the most dangerous dude that I’ve ever showed up for. I’m terrified. I’m so terrified, which is why I have to go. We’ll see what happens.”

This is a definite break for Lebeouf who has starred in films like the Transformers series and Indiana Jones, which focus more on action than reality.

Two other stand out stars are linked to the film: Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman. Production starts next month in Germany.
