Popular Porn Star Tanya Tate Written Out of Debate

Irish Porn Star Tanya Tate was set to be a speaker at one of University College Dublin’s Literary and Historical Society debates. However, Tate claims she was cut out of the debate without reason given, forcing her to believe it was a censorship issue.

“The adult industry is indeed a topic that many people are not willing to discuss, yet many of the population in Ireland choose to watch the work of adult actors and actresses,” Tate noted.

“While mainstream communities are becoming more open to exploring the notion of adult entertainment, some parts of our modern society are too ‘afraid’ to approach the subject. I am saddened that it appears the UCD authorities have decided not to allow their students to explore an open debate on this very issue.”

In 2010, Tate was offered to partake in a UCD speaking opportunity, but declined because of a scheduling conflict. Tate has grown in predominance in the adult film world maintaining a successful blog and website while trying her hand at directing.

However, the Literary and Historical Society Auditor Daisy Onubogu Tanya said Tate’s appearance wasn’t cancelled because of any censorship reasons. Instead, the invitation was cancelled simply because of money.

“Another pornstar Charmaine Sinclair responded to us and said she would do it. Because Charmaine is based in the UK it was significantly cheaper to fly her in. Tanya would have to be flown in from LA, it has nothing to do with censorship or the university.”
