But that bold statement is what’s being said about the new documentary by director Ramzi Abed that centers on the alt-porn scene called “The New Erotic.”

If you haven’t seen any of it, and now that I think about it I don’t think I’ve covered a lot of it here, the alt-porn scene is a really cool, down and dirty, stylish and non conventional avenue for adult film. The girls are natural, “warts and all,” artsy types, many with tattoos and piercings and they’re filmed in ways that sometimes make you remark to yourself afterwards that you actually kinda just saw something beautiful. I am anxiously awaiting the release of one such film called “Eyelashes” in fact.

“The New Erotic” is an account of this revolution. An important film that features many of the mainstays and groundbreakers like Eon McKai, Kimberly Kane, Dave Naz, Vena Virago and more.

A nice piece of the marketing materials reads: THE NEW EROTIC is the first documentary focusing on the fearless erotic artists working in the so-called “altporn” scene, where punks, gallery artists, and visual designers create edgy, pornographic films that fly in the face of conventional eroticism and redefine beauty. Renaming themselves after punk heroes and serial killers, they eschew the previous generation of cosmetically enhanced professional pornstars, instead filming their naturally figured, mostly non-blonde hipster friends in a unique style that borrows its edge from NYC’s Cinema of Transgression and mashes it up against a mumblecore aesthetic with a post-Suicide-Girls/post-American-Apparel sensibility.

If you’re looking for something new and inventive with your porn I highly recommend checking out this incredibly seductive and unabashed sub-genre that, sure, won’t be for everybody but is a high cut above your average “the pizza man is here” kind of story telling.

Due to drop Summer 2010.

Letters From Men Who Watch Pornography http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/2010/05/11/letters-from-men-who-watch-pornography/ http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/2010/05/11/letters-from-men-who-watch-pornography/#comments Wed, 12 May 2010 00:07:40 +0000 glennb http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/?p=1428 Susannah Breslin, the brilliant woman behind “The Letters Project(s)”: “Letters from Johns” & “Letters from Working Girls” has begun yet another in the “Letters” series. And she’s hoping you might help her do it!

“Letters from Men Who Watch Pornography” is an independent online project featuring letters from men about, well….why they watch pornography. She started the project back on April 26th of this year.

Continuing in the tradition of her last 2 projects, “Letters from Johns”, which featured stories from Johns (customers of prostitution) about their experiences, and “Letters from Working Girls,” about prostitutes themselves, Breslin hopes to uncover (anonymously) the psychology behind the basic and not so basic wants and needs of porn purveyors. From those who have been abused to men with completely healthy backgrounds. Sex addiction? Cheaters? Emotional infidelity? Or couples who share?

She defines PORNOGRAPHY thusly: [noun] 1 : the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement; 2 : material (as books or a photograph) that depicts erotic behavior and is intended to cause sexual excitement; 3 : the depiction of acts in a sensational manner so as to arouse a quick intense emotional reaction (the pornography of violence). (Click here for OUR definition of pornography.)

If you would like to take part in her study, surely to be fascinating on a varity of levels, submit directly to: [email protected]

New Ban Attacks Hotels that Offer “Edgy” Porn http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/2010/03/11/seedy-hotels-get-dicked/ http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/2010/03/11/seedy-hotels-get-dicked/#comments Thu, 11 Mar 2010 22:26:39 +0000 glennb http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/?p=850 You can’t voluntarily go to a seedy hotel if there’s no porn available!!! What’s the damn point? Most dilapidated hotels know that they’re dilapidated and therefore cater mostly to the people who appreciate such environments. These are the places you can role-play. Be that drug overload that pimps on the side, who walks in on one of his bitches lying around watching the E! channel. Or that outlaw couple who just heisted a 7-11 and need to shack up for the night to avoid police detection. And since watching some edgy porn usually falls well within these fantasies, while allowing some much needed stimulation as you count the cockroaches running across the bed, it’s option is a must to fully complete the picture. Well Minnesota Sen. Tarryl Clark (D-St. Cloud) doesn’t think so.

To be clear, this is a bill to prevent state employees from spending state funds at hotels or meeting rooms, in the state, that offer guests adult videos that are deemed too violent. But the language of the legislation, which was introduced in February, is somewhat vague on whether it refers to porn that is purchased by the guest or free porn provided as a selling point. It also doesn’t address what constitutes restricted content.

Of course! Because isn’t that at least one thing we’ve learned over the years? What is deemed offensive by one could very easily be considered light, or even stimulating by another. Pornography is subjective. Hell, the effect of curse words is subjective.

“State employees, constitutional officers, and members of the legislature may not use public funds to pay for the cost of lodging, training, meeting, or any other use of a facility that makes pornographic images or performances available to its patrons,” reads S.F. No. 2861. “This section does not apply when a compliant facility is not reasonably available and a written explanation of that circumstance is maintained with the record of payment. For the purposes of this section, ‘pornographic image or performance’ means a sexually explicit image or performance that objectifies or exploits its subjects by eroticizing domination, degradation, or violence.” Sounds like my weekends.

But since most hotels rely on these kinds of guests to stay in business…think about it, unless it’s strictly a pay-by-the-hour type establishment, hotels don’t really have the built in clientele of, say, a coffee shop…this means the entire industry is affected.

The bill does not determine exactly how films will be categorized, or by whom, or whether funds will be set aside to hire people to screen each adult video available in hotels throughout the state. I’d be perfectly happy to throw my hat into the ring should such a job become available, however. Probably wouldn’t be a whole lot different from the porn pushing I do around here at Orgasm.com.

The state’s Department of Administration would maintain a directory of approved facilities to help employees plan travel. If passed, the law would go into effect July 1, 2010.

Today…hotel porn. Tomorrow…your ability to think for yourself.

Vivid Entertainment Offers John Mayer a Porn Job http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/2010/02/16/john-mayer-porn-director/ http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/2010/02/16/john-mayer-porn-director/#comments Wed, 17 Feb 2010 02:29:33 +0000 glennb http://www.orgasm.com/free-porn-blog/?p=604 Have I mentioned lately how much I love Vivid Entertainment? I swear they are fast becoming the TMZ of the adult entertainment world. Not so much in a “get-in-your-face-and-cause-you-to-beat-a-photographer” sort of way. But a fun, “they-definitely-don’t-take-themselves-too-seriously” kinda vibe. And I gotta admit…(here it comes, a lifetime of ridicule)…that John Mayer is one funny fucker.

So who could blame Vivid on wanting a piece of the action?

Word around town is that Vivid founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch has once again jumped at the chance to catch lightning in a bottle by sending Mayer a letter, offering him a chance to write and possibly direct an adult film. Say what?? I know!!

But this didn’t come out of left field. In true John Mayer spirit, he is quoted (in the very same Playboy article that got him in all that N-word trouble we’ve heard so much about) as saying that his “biggest dream is to write pornography.” Enter Hirsch, arguably the mayor of pornodome, population = everybody.

Don’t misread this article as being authored by someone who’s naive. I know he’s not going to do it. OF course he’s not going to do it. I was excited as hell at the prospect of Conan O’Brien doing a porn but I certainly didn’t believe it would ever happen. Don’t you just wish we’d get that kind of celebrity again though? One who just doesn’t give a fuck? Someone who’s too big to fall? So they could go on doing whatever the fuck they wanted? It would have to be a George Clooney meets Bono meets Screech from “Saved by the Bell.” (Yeah I know his real name, but I don’t want to have to put it in bold).

Rock on Vivid. It’s all a numbers game. Keep a healthy stack of those offer letters handy.
